The wheel barrow represents a portable garden. It allows us to bring the garden to the residents when the residents can not come to the garden. The portable garden represents the "Deeper Experience." The deeper experience is all things that make everyday worth living whether it be large or small; the memorable things that make you smile, make you laugh or even make you cry. It is the exhilleration you feel when you are dancing to the music and feel like the music was written just for you. It is the excitement and anxiousness that comes over you on graduation day. It is the connection you make with others when you share words and opinions. It is the feeling of accomplishment after an achievement and it is the adrenaline rush you feel when you are on the scariest roller coaster in the amusement park.

Shalom Village
Primarily it is a jewish facility but Shalom offers opportunities to residents of all faiths and religions. It offers a unique "at home" approach to care. Shalom helps the residents maintain a home life while setting in. We have been recruiting volunteers for 30 years!
